When my daughter entered 2nd grade, I started a Mom & Me Diary with her. Just a 3 ring binder that we could write things to each other when we had something to say. She’s always been a reserved child so I thought maybe if she didn’t have to always say things face to face it would make some things easier. Just trying to keep the lines of communication open.
One of the very first things I wrote to her was a quote that I wanted her to always remember.
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” -Maya Angelou
It’s a very enlightening message, no matter your age. In memory of a remarkable lady who was such an inspiration, I’ve made this 8″ x 10″ wall art with this quote.
