With a New Year looming in the distance what better time to share a few parties to start your 2015 off right! This one comes from Jessica at Everyday Party Magazine. Her New Year’s Eve Open House is full of inspiration. My favorite part is the color palette! The pink and black palette gives this party a fun & modern feel. Add in a little glitter, chevron pattern & a bottle or two of bubbly and you’ve got yourself a celebration. Here’s what Jessica had to say…
“Our family typically celebrates New Year’s Eve together in our jammies, playing rowdy games of Monopoly. This year, we decided to dress up our jammies and invite our friends to celebrate New Year’s Eve Open House style. With no set time frame, we can welcome guests all night long, and no one feels obligated to stay until the Ball drops! (I mean, we are all old married parents, midnight doesn’t happen on purpose often, LOL) I prepped the table this weekend to get a feel for how it would look, and I really love it!
With the help of several fabulous party vendors, I was able to set up a small snack and drink table. Create UR Plate offered to send me some amazing custom plates for the party. I designed them myself using their simple software, and had the finished product in less than a week, including holidays! The plates are perfect! They are sturdy and chic! I love custom plates that I don’t have to wash! Favor boxes from Kate Aspen will hold yummy chocolates, and are nestled in a bed of hot pink crinkle paper. Black and White chevron paper bags from Little Miss Party are perfect for popcorn, and the black and white striped cups are a great option for kids drinks, and they look fabulous! I added some fun gold glittered hand fans, also from Kate Aspen, and small gold frames with simple graphics to decorate the table some. The backdrop is the same backdrop I used for the Ice Cream Sundae Bar. (I am saving it for more parties in the future too! I just rolled the crepe paper around the wood, and slid it under the sofa)
I added a tier to the table with my ironing board, and just draped the banquet table cloth over both the table and ironing board. It was a great way to add more height and space on the table, and I will be able to add a few more bottles of alcohol too. I wanted more than just a blank black void in front of the table, so I added a strand of gold glitter icicles to the front. My table is plastic, so I just used thumbtacks to hold the threaded icicles. It is a very simple and informal-chic table set up.
We will serve very simple snacks and appetizers. Cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, popcorn, and sprinkle dipped cupcakes from the grocery store. (Thanks Cupcakes by Dusty for the Instagram video tutorial!) Drinks will be Sprite, wine spritzer cocktails, and of course, champagne. Our guests will all take home small bottles of champagne wrapped in our free printables.
Aren’t these champagne bottle labels cute!?! Get your free printables HERE!
Many thanks to all of my fabulous vendors for sharing their amazing products with me for our New Year’s Eve Open House Celebration!
