Today is National Puppy Day! Woof! Here at Painting Paris Pink we love puppies because they are loyal, sweet and so darn cute.
My youngest daughter turned 8 back in January and while it took us a while to get a date planned for a party it worked out perfectly in our favor. We were able to plan an outdoor park party for our PUPPY LOVE theme! My little loves all animals (you should see the stuffed one in her bed every night… I honestly don’t know how she has any room) so this was right up her alley.
Once we chose the theme and colors, the rest was all about execution….
We had a fun food table with heart shaped sugar cookies, heart shaped cherry gummies, Scooby Snacks & brownie bites. And, no puppy party is complete without pupcorn! Since our party was outside we used 16 ounce plastic cups with dome lids for our pupcorn and added glitter hearts to the front to the cups.
We used Dollar Tree dog bowls for our Scooby Snacks and for fresh apples and tangerines. The tent card food tag is a part of our printable collection available in the shop! Our double layer cookie cake came from Sam’s Club and is seriously so delicious!
I saw this adorable photo prop on Pinterest and knew we definitely needed one for our Puppy Love Party! My handy husband drew the images on the wood and then we painted it. Add some legs to make it stand and voila! The kids had a lot of fun playing and taking pictures with it.
We wanted her guests to be able to all adopt a puppy at her party so we gathered as many puppies as we could find and put them in a wicker laundry basket. I purchased white gable boxes and added cute little red glitter heart ornaments. The certificate of adoption was added to the front of each box with red heart washi tape and is available in our printable collection found in our shop along with the adorable Adopt A Puppy sign.
The kids were so excited to be able to come in a choose a puppy, fill out their adoption certificate and take their new friend to their FUR-EVER home. I am please to announce that all puppies were adopted and sent to good loving homes.
This adorable invitation is available in our shop and we offer a printable version or we do professional printing on all of our invitations and many of our other party items.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! What’s your favorite party theme for 2017?
